The Mustang School District offers the education to students in the sixth, seventh and 10th grades. The curriculum is approved by the Oklahoma departments of education and health.

HIV/AIDS education will be scheduled at least one month after the parents meeting. A parent or guardian can object to their child’s participation in HIV/AIDS curriculum through a letter. No student will be required to participate in HIV/AIDS prevention education if a parent objects.

Mustang High School varsity pom pom squad is selling Butter Braids pastries to raise funds to compete in a national competition.

The deadline for orders is Oct. 14. Deliveries will be made Nov. 13.

Each 22-ounce braided pastry serves 11 people and comes with an icing packet to drizzle atop your freshly baked pastry. Butter Braids come in several flavors — original, cherry, apple,cinnamon and cream cheese. They are made in a facility that processes nuts.
The cost is $10.
