Dustin Ryan Treadway

Dustin Ryan Treadway, Piedmont resident, passed away Jan. 26, 2008, at the age of 19. Dustin was born Jan. 13, 1989, to Terry Walter Treadway and Lori Ann (Worthy) Treadway. He was raised in Mustang and later moved to Piedmont where he was a senior at Piedmont High School.

Chamber throws support behind bond issues passage

Proposed Czech Hall Road improvements and a new baseball complex found a booster in the Mustang Chamber of Commerce after the group’s board of directors passed a resolution supporting both general bond issues late last week.

Chamber President Chad Fulton said the resolution signals the board’s “unanimous support” for both issues, which will be decided in an April 1 election.

County bridges ‘deficient’

Almost one-fourth of Oklahoma’s bridges are considered functionally obsolete or structurally deficient, a transportation official told Mustang business leaders.
Thirty-six of those bridges are in Canadian County, and many of them are located along Interstate 40.

A dozen Oklahomans struggling to find health care call Mustang-area resident Reggie Cervantes-Miller each week, hoping she can help them.

Like her, many of them have lost a job because they are too sick to work, which cuts off their health insurance coverage and puts their ability to pay for necessary treatments and their lives in jeopardy.

“It’s demoralizing to me because there is nothing I can do,” she said.
