Dustin Ryan Treadway

Dustin Ryan Treadway, Piedmont resident, passed away Jan. 26, 2008, at the age of 19. Dustin was born Jan. 13, 1989, to Terry Walter Treadway and Lori Ann (Worthy) Treadway. He was raised in Mustang and later moved to Piedmont where he was a senior at Piedmont High School.
Dustin was studying to be an electrician at Canadian Valley Technology Center. Dustin was a wonderful son and brother to Lindsay, who loved his family, friends and especially enjoyed playing with Madison and Noah. He was a young Christian boy who was a member of the Penn South Church of Christ. He enjoyed playing golf and loved fishing.

Dustin is survived by his parents, Terry and Lori Treadway; his sister; Lindsay Treadway; his grandparents, Don and Wanda Worthy and Kenneth and Roberta Treadway; his aunts, Lawanda Huff and Jessica Worthy; his uncles, Butch Treadway and Andy Treadway; and his numerous cousins and friends.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, Jan. 30, 2008, at Vondel Smith Mortuary North Colonial Chapel. Interment followed at Resthaven Memory Gardens.

Tomilee Shingledecker

Funeral services for Tomilee Shingledecker of Mustang were held at Bateman Carroll Funeral Home, Gresham, Ore., with burial in Odd Fellow Cemetery in Fresno, Calif.

Mrs. Shingledecker died Jan. 15 in Gresham. She was born March 17, 1912, in Cookeville, Tenn. The family moved to Fresno in 1922, to Gresham in 1989 and to Mustang in 2001. She received a degree from Fresno State University. She was involved with the Rebecca’s, Theta Rho, League of Women Voters and Feed the Children.

She is survived by sons, Carl Shingledecker of Gresham and Roy Shingledecker of South Carolina; daughters, Judie Siria and Kathleen Shingledecker, both of Mustang; 18 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and 17 great-great-grandchildren.

Rose Mastalez

Mass of Christian Burial for Rose M. Mastalez, 92, was held Tuesday at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Mustang under direction of McNeil’s Mustang Funeral Service. Entombment services will be held at 11 a.m. today in Resurrection Mausoleum, Justice, Ill., under direction of Midway Funeral Home, Chicago.

Mrs. Mastalez died Friday in an Oklahoma City hospital. She was born Sept. 4, 1915, in Chicago. She grew up in Chicago and lived there most of her adult life. She had been a resident of Mustang since 1994 and was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church.

She is survived by a daughter, Leona Vutera of Mustang; a brother, Norman Mastalez of Monroe, La.; five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Barbara Johnson

Memorial services for Barbara J. Johnson, 56, were held Monday in the Chapel of The Good Shepherd at McNeil’s Mustang Funeral Service.

Mrs. Johnson died Jan. 24. She was born Aug. 23, 1951, in Canada, but grew up in Grand Rapids, Mich. She graduated from high school in Grand Rapids and moved to Mustang in 1980. She worked many years at Larry’s Foods and attended The Bridge Assembly of God.

She is survived by her mother, Mary Spencer of Michigan; husband, Larry of the home; a daughter, Cortny Johnson of Mustang; brother, Scott Prosser of Windsor Ontario, Canada; sisters, Cathy Pybas and June Fuglestad, both of Mustang, and Nancy Wilderom of Michigan; and one grandson.

Justin Childers

Memorial services for Justin Travis (J.T.) Childers, 19, were held Jan. 16 at McNeil’s Mustang Funeral Service.
Justin died Jan. 12. He was born Nov. 21, 1988, and lived his entire life in Oklahoma City or Mustang. He had attended Mustang schools.

He is survived by his parents, Jim and Helena Childers of Mustang; a sister, Melissa; adoptive family, Charles and Farah Walker and Jimmy Moriarty; foster family members, Bonnie Dunn, Jessica Andrade and Thesha McKaufman; and grandparents, John and Marsh Foster.
