Global Entry now offering weekly sign-ups at OKC airport: faster customs for travelers

Show summary Hide summary

Beginning Oct. 8, Will Rogers World Airport will offer weekly in-person interviews for Global Entry, giving Oklahoma City-area travelers a local place to finish the final step of the trusted-traveler application. The move promises quicker re-entry at U.S. borders and adds practical value to the airport’s recent push into international service.

Weekly enrollment days arrive in October

The airport will host Global Entry interviews every Thursday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., airport officials confirmed. The regular schedule follows a three-day enrollment event held in July that drew strong local interest and helped justify a permanent weekday presence.

Airport director Jeff Mulder said the expanded access aligns with OKC’s growing international connections—most notably the new flight to Cancun—and will be a tangible benefit for both residents and visitors. He described the effort as part of broader steps to enhance the airport’s passenger services.

What this means for travelers

Global Entry is a U.S. Customs and Border Protection program that speeds up processing for preapproved travelers returning to the United States. Membership also includes access to TSA PreCheck and remains valid for five years.

  • Apply online: Submit an application through the official portal and pay the nonrefundable application fee of $120.
  • Receive conditional approval: Applicants must be conditionally approved before scheduling an interview.
  • Schedule the interview: Once approved, book one of the airport’s Thursday appointment slots through your Trusted Traveler Programs account.
  • Bring required documents: Carry a valid passport and any additional identification requested at the time of scheduling.

Scheduling the interview at Will Rogers means applicants who previously had to travel to another city for the in-person appointment can complete enrollment much closer to home.

Practical implications and next steps

For frequent international travelers based in central Oklahoma, the change could shrink wait times at customs and streamline connections on return. It also signals the airport’s intent to support increasing international service by adding traveler-facing infrastructure.

Passengers should begin the online application well before their planned travel dates to allow time for conditional approval and to secure one of the limited Thursday interview slots. Check the Trusted Traveler Programs website for the latest appointment availability and document requirements.
