Small-business owners in Oklahoma have a narrow window to enter a national contest that could deliver real capital and visibility: applications for the Patriot Pitch Competition must be submitted by June 10, 2026, and the event awards a shared prize pool of $1 million. The program is run by the U.S. Small Business Administration and is aimed at companies that have used SBA-backed funding and are ready to scale.
Organizers say the contest is intended for established, for-profit firms operating legally in the United States. The competition rewards companies that combine market potential with a clear plan to grow jobs and revenue.

Key eligibility and evaluation points, drawn from SBA guidance, include:
- Eligible entities: U.S.-based, for-profit small businesses with fewer than 500 employees.
- Funding history: Applicants must have used qualifying SBA capital products (for example, SBA-backed loans or investment programs).
- Federal standing: Businesses must be in good standing with federal requirements and legally active in the U.S.
- Selection criteria: Entries will be assessed on innovation, market competitiveness, potential industry impact, job creation prospects and readiness to execute.
The competition unfolds over several rounds. Companies that advance will be invited to make a live pitch in Washington, D.C. during a September showcase, where finalists compete for a portion of the prize pool.
Funding for the awards comes from Clover Network, Inc., and finalists gain more than cash: organizers emphasize that the finals offer access to investors, policymakers, industry leaders and supplier matchmaking opportunities—connections that can accelerate growth beyond the immediate payout.
For Oklahoma firms, the timing matters. The state has seen rising activity in sectors such as technology, bioscience, aerospace, manufacturing and retail, and the Patriot Pitch can provide both capital and national exposure for companies in those fields.

If you run a small business in Oklahoma that has used SBA financing and is preparing to scale, this competition offers a tangible pathway to funding and high-level connections—but you need to act quickly.
