Police to write trespassing, litter tickets during fireworks weekBy Carolyn Cole Mustang business owners who want to keep fireworks off their property can put up signs and tape barriers during the season, which police officials say they will enforce. Discharging fireworks is legal in Mustang from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m. Friday through July 3 and 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. July 4. Police Capt. Willard James said business owners can “clearly mark” their property as off limits to fireworks enthusiasts, and police will issue trespassing citations. Mustang volunteers raise roof, spirits at rural Arizona churchBy Carolyn Cole In five days 60 Mustang-area residents raised more than a church in the Arizona desert — they brought hope. Bridge AG members blitz-built a 7,200-square-foot church for the Bylas Assembly of God. The foundation was already set before volunteers started work as the sun rose at 5:30 a.m. April 25. The framing crew set to work raising walls, Melvin Masengale said, and by the next evening, the exterior was finished including the roof.
