Dale Howard Roberts
Dale Howard Roberts of Mustang, loving husband, indulging uncle and caring brother, passed from this life into the loving arms of His Lord and Savior on Tuesday, June 10, 2008, with his wife, Mary, and close friends at his side. He was born April 9, 1941, in Oklahoma City to Howard and Goldie (Palmer) Roberts. He grew up in Oklahoma City and was a 1959 graduate of Putnam City High School. He had an engineering degree from Oklahoma City University. Dale worked 35 years for Phil-Good Products, where he retired in 2004 as vice president.

Doctors cutting into Mustang resident Sherri Nance’s skull to remove a life-threatening brain tumor were dumbfounded.

The vestibular schwannoma doctors had seen in a magnetic resonance image the day before wasn’t there. Instead they found a cyst. Nance said the doctors told her they believe the tumor died on its own. The case was unlike anything they had ever seen, she said.

“It was like a miracle,” she said.

Four Democrat candidates spoke this week on education, the economy, professionalism and public service at a Canadian County Democrats’ practice forum.

About 30 people turned out to hear the candidates speak. Jody Harlan, with the Canadian County Democrats, said the evening was a warm-up exercise for the county party’s silent auction, bean supper and candidate forum, which will start at 5 p.m. July 19 at Redlands Community College. Tickets are $25.
