Jacklyn Guest Horn
Funeral services for Jacklyn Guest Horn, 65, were held Monday at First Baptist Church in Tom, Okla. Burial was in the Tom Cemetery under direction of Conley-White Funeral Home in Idabel.

Mrs. Horn died Aug. 7 at her home in Tom. She was born Oct. 9, 1942, in Paris, Texas. She graduated high school in Valliant in 1960 and attended Southeastern Oklahoma State University, where she earned both bachelor’s and master’s degrees in education. She taught at John Glenn Elementary in the Western Heights School District and Mustang Elementary before moving to southeastern Oklahoma in 1972 where she taught at Haworth Elementary for 18 years and was also an elementary guidance counselor. She moved to Tupelo in 1990 where she assumed the position of elementary principal and counselor. She retired in 1993 after 30 years as an educator. She was a member of Tom Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband, Herman of the home; sons, Scott Horn of Sawyer and Brian Horn of Frisco, Texas; a daughter, Jill Bobier of Surprise, Ariz.; a sister, Carolyn Cury of Mustang; and two grandchildren.
