Burroughs, Tommy
Funeral services for Tommy Melvin Burroughs, 70, of Mustang, will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Hahn-Cook/Street and Draper Chapel in Oklahoma City with burial in Rose Hill Burial Park.

Mr. Burroughs died Monday. He was born Feb. 5, 1937, in Oklahoma City. He attended Capitol Hill High School.

He is survived by a daughter, Bambi Nievez of Yukon; son, Rick Burroughs of Oklahoma City; a sister, Priscilla Hargis of Moore; and six grandchildren.

Glasco Sr., J.D.
Graveside services for J.D. Glasco Sr., 60, were held Wednesday at Tecumseh Mission Cemetery under direction of McNeil’s Mustang Funeral Service.

Mr. Glasco died Saturday in Oklahoma City. He was born June 2, 1946, in Tulsa. He grew up in Oklahoma and in California. He was a 32nd degree Mason, a Shriner and a member of the Nomads.

He is survived by his wife, Sandy of the home; sons, J.D. Glasco Jr. of Purcell and Tim Paxton of Mustang; a daughter, Kelly Stewart of Woodward; brothers, Clifford Glasco and O.C. Glasco, both of Redding, Calif., and Tom Glasco of Oklahoma City; a sister, Clara Lou Schwartz of Sacramento, Calif.; and seven grandchildren.

Hollis-Peyton, Naomi
Funeral services for Naomi LaMoine Hollis-Peyton, 74, of Fern Creek, Ky., were held Feb. 13 at The Believers Church in Louisville, Ky., under direction of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home. Local services were held Friday at Life Tabernacle in Mustang with burial in Resthaven Memorial Gardens in Oklahoma City. Services were under direction of McNeil’s Mustang Funeral Service.

Mrs. Hollis-Peyton died Feb. 11. She was a retired branch manager for Glen Justice Mortgage Co. in Oklahoma City and member of The Believers Church.
She is survived by sons, Rick Hollis and Randy Hollis; brothers, Jim Caton and Joe Caton; and four grandsons.

Lewis, Evelyn
Funeral services for Evelyn M. Lewis of Mustang were held Feb. 12 in the Chapel of The Good Shepherd at McNeil’s Mustang Funeral Service, with burial in the Mustang Cemetery.

Mrs. Lewis died Feb. 8. She was born Feb. 21, 1921, in Wolf Lake, Ill. She was a homemaker and had owned and operated The Dairy Bar in Paragould, Ark., before moving to California and Texas. She moved to Oklahoma in 1967 and to Mustang in 1973. She was a member of First Baptist Church and Rainbow Sunday school class.

She is survived by a son, Ron Lewis, and a daughter, Sue March, both of Mustang; five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Nyquist, Betty
Graveside services for Betty Ruthaliene Nyquist, 79, were held Feb. 13 in the Welty Cemetery, under direction of McNeil’s Mustang Funeral Service.

Mrs. Nyquist died Feb. 10 at her home in Mustang. She was born Oct. 11, 1927, in Mason, and grew up in the Mason/Welty communities. She was a 1946 graduate of Mason High School and attended East Central State College where she obtained her teaching certificate. She taught elementary school in a one-room schoolhouse in Welty. She moved to Mustang in 1966 and worked many years at Tinker Air Force Base and the FAA. In later years she worked in home health care.

She is survived by daughters, Karen Wells and Nancy Bennett, both of Mustang; sons, Martin Nyquist of Mustang and William Nyquist of Auburn, Wash.; eight grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Pouder, Harry
Funeral services for Harry Eugene Pouder, 83, were held Saturday in the Chapel of the Good Shepherd, McNeil’s Mustang Funeral Service, with burial at Rosehill Burial Park in Oklahoma City.

Mr. Pouder died Feb. 15. He was born Aug. 24, 1923, in Kansas City, Mo. He grew up in Oklahoma City and attended Capitol Hill High School. He was a Navy veteran. He worked for Boeing Aircraft Factory in Wichita, Kan., and was a field electrician at Tinker Air Force Base, retiring after 22 years of service. During his years at Tinker, he took leave to do six-month tours of duty as a civilian service personnel in Vietnam and Thailand.

He is survived by his wife, Helen, and a brother, Pat Pouder.
