Daugherty, Sharon
Sharon K. Daugherty, age 65, died Wednesday, Dec. 26, 2007, at an Oklahoma City hospital after a short illness. She was born Feb. 18, 1942, in Watonga to Woodrow W. and Violet F. (Winter) Schenk. She grew up in Watonga and was a 1960 graduate of Watonga High School. After high school she attended El Reno Junior College where she graduated magna cum laude, and received her degree in elementary education from UCO, graduating suma cum laude. Sharon taught second grade for 30 years, 28 of that at Mustang Elementary School, retiring in 2004. Her hobbies were her pets, her garden and following the activities of her children and grandchildren. She was a member of Mustang United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by her husband of over 47 years, Carl of the home in Mustang; two sons, Toby Daugherty and wife, Susan of Edmond and Terry Daugherty and wife, Anne of Mustang; and four grandchildren, Emily, Mason, Katie and Amanda.

Sharon held a special place in her heart for her sorority sisters of Xi Zeta Gamma.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Education Department at the Mustang Methodist Church.
Services were held Saturday, Dec. 29, 2007, at Mustang United Methodist Church with interment following in the Mustang Cemetery. Services were under direction of McNeil’s Mustang Funeral Service. Online condolences may be made at mcneilsmustangfs.com.

Gourley, Lillie
Funeral services for Lillie Ann Gourley, 86, were held Monday in the Chapel of The Good Shepherd at McNeil’s Mustang Funeral Service with burial in Resthaven Memory Gardens in Oklahoma City.

Mrs. Gourley died Friday in an Oklahoma City hospital. She was born Aug. 13, 1921, in Yellow Bayou, La., and grew up in Sellars and Hamburg, La. She moved to Tuttle in 1947 and had lived in the Tuttle/Mustang area since that time. She had worked at various jobs in the medical and dietary fields and had been instrumental in establishing the dietary program at Presbyterian Hospital. She was a Catholic by faith.

She is survived by sons, Michael Gourley of Mustang and Phillip Gourley of Cookson; a brother, Tom Rabalais of Baton Rouge, La.; sisters, Bertha Riche of Alexandria, La., Mabel Rabalais of Simms Port, La., Leona Mauyeux of Mooreville, La., and Neda Proskovitch of Biloxi, Miss.; 15 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Sterling, Todd
Memorial services for Todd Kevan Sterling, 48, were held Monday in the Chapel of The Good Shepherd at McNeil’s Mustang Funeral Service.

Mr. Sterling died Friday at a Midwest City hospital. He was born Dec. 21, 1959, in Norman, and grew up in Wisconsin. He was a graduate of Deer Field, Ill. He had been a resident of Mustang since 2005 and was a tax consultant.

He is survived by his mother, Gloria Sterling of Oklahoma City; sons, Jared, Joshua, Parker and Mason, a daughter, Megan, and a stepdaughter, Brooke Wood, all of Oklahoma City; and sisters, Tiffani Minich of Grain Valley, Mo., and Traci Cornman of Yukon.
