Obituaries for Nov. 9, 2006Barry, Norma Carol Mrs. Barry was born in rural Caddo County on Dec. 15, 1934. She married Keith Barry on Oct 11, 1956, and the couple spent their honeymoon in Dallas attending an OU-Texas football game. She was a Christian. Survivors include her husband of 50 years, Keith of the home; daughters, Joni Jenkins of Jones and Susan Drennen of Yukon; a brother, Don Karnes; three sisters, Wanda Higgins of Tuttle, Myrna Rowden of Chandler and Patsy Harrison of Minco; 12 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Friday at Cherokee Hills Church of Christ in Oklahoma City with burial following at the Yukon Cemetery in Yukon. Arrangements are under the direction of Yanda and Son Funeral Home in Yukon. Clark, Michael Wayne (paid) He was a 1966 graduate of El Reno High School, graduated El Reno Junior College in 1968 and earned a bachelor of arts degree in journalism from the University of Oklahoma in 1970, the year he married his high school sweetheart, JoAnn Marsh. Many in El Reno will remember Mike from his days as a photographer and reporter for the El Reno Daily Tribune. He also served as reporter and editor of The Mustang News and more recently was code enforcement and public information officer for the city of Mustang. He was an active member of Christ Memorial Episcopal Church in El Reno. He served stateside in the Air Force during the Vietnam War. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother-in-law, Jerry Marsh. He is survived by his wife of 35 years, JoAnn of the home, a son and daughter-in-law, Kevin Michael and Sarah Walker Clark of Tulsa. Also, two brothers, Wesley Clark of Wetumka and James Paul Clark and wife, Sherri of Bowie Texas; a sister-in-law, Charlotte Marsh of Oakland, Md.; a brother-in-law Dr. Paul Marsh and wife, Linda of Weatherford, Texas; his parents-in-law, Gerald and Jewel Marsh of El Reno; five nieces and five nephews and a host of friends. Funeral services will be under the direction of Wilson’s Funeral Home at 10:30 a.m. on Sunday, Nov. 12, 2006, at Christ Memorial Episcopal Church in El Reno. The Clark family suggests memorials in Mike’s name at the El Reno Carnegie Library or at the library of Redlands Community College. Hurst, Dorothy Mrs. Hurst died Oct. 31. She was born March 2, 1928, near Roff. She attended school at Roff and Prairie View and was a member of New Prospect Missionary Baptist. She graduated from Stratford High School, then moved to Bethany, working as a telephone operator, a car hop and neighborhood seamstress. She won numerous ribbons in the Oklahoma State Fair for her knitting projects and her specialty lye soap.
