Hill, Amos
Memorial services for Amos Presley Hill, 95, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Chapel of The Good Shepherd, McNeil’s Mustang Funeral Service.

Mr. Hill died July 27. He was born Aug. 22, 1910, in Sparta, Mo., and grew up in Missouri and Oklahoma. He was a carpenter by trade and owned and operated Amos Lock Shop in Midwest City. He was a longtime member of Wickline United Methodist Church in Midwest City and had been active in the Masonic Lodge.

He is survived by sons, Allen Hill of Washington and Jimmie Hill of Mustang; sisters, Angie Avery of Sulphur, Helen Jenkins of Quintan and Ellen Koehn of Newton, Kan.; nine grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Hoffman, Juanita
Graveside services for Juanita P. Hoffman of Mustang were held Saturday in the Yukon Cemetery. Services were under direction of Smith and Turner Mortuary of Yukon.

Mrs. Hoffman died Aug. 23 in a nursing home in Yukon. She was born Dec. 9, 1913,in Alabama City, Ala. After retiring from Public Service Company of Oklahoma in Tulsa, she took up painting and became skilled enough to teach others. She had paintings on display at the Philbrock Art Museum in Tulsa. She moved to Oklahoma City in the late ’70s. She was a regular at the local American Legion and VFW dances.

She is survived by five grandchildren, 13 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Simmons, Judy
Funeral services for Judy Marie Simmons, 59, were held Tuesday in the Chapel of The Good Shepherd at McNeil’s Mustang Funeral Service with burial in Mustang Cemetery.

Judy died Friday at an Oklahoma City hospital. She was born Sept. 11, 1946, in Mashulaville, Miss. She grew up in the area around Macon, Miss. She was a graduate of Noxubee County High School and later attended Rose State College. She moved to the metro Oklahoma City area in 1976 and had worked many years in telephone communications and customer service, most recently with Cox Cable.

She is survived by her parents, Sam and Louise Simmons, Macon, Miss.; sons, Sam Adcock of Mustang, Jack Adcock of Bethany and David Adcock of Midwest City; a daughter, Lynn Adcock of Bethany; a brother, Bobby Simmons of Macon, Miss.; and seven grandchildren.
