Show summary Hide summary

As Oregon’s high school Moratorium Week begins, High School On SI has released its 2026 All-State Baseball teams — a snapshot of the players and coaches who shaped the spring season and whose performances matter now for college recruiting and local programs. These selections spotlight top statistical seasons, postseason impact and key leadership moments that will echo into the coming year.

How the teams were chosen: selections reflect regular-season numbers, playoff results and overall influence on team success.

Player of the Year

Grady Saunders — P/IF, Sr., Thurston

Oregon State’s incoming signee turned in one of the state’s most complete seasons. At the plate he hit over .530 with a slugging line above 1.400 OPS, producing 15 doubles, four triples, four homers and 32 RBIs while drawing 17 walks and striking out just six in 121 plate appearances. On the mound he compiled a 7-3 record with a sub-2.00 ERA in nearly 60 innings, punching out 84 batters.

Coach of the Year

Travis Moncrief — Tillamook

Moncrief stepped in early in April after the abrupt resignation of the previous coach and steadied the Cheesemakers, guiding them to a first-ever state final appearance. Tillamook went 17-7 under his direction in the last two months and fell 4-3 to Marist Catholic in the 4A championship.
