Kylee Dedmon serves as the morning reporter for News 9 in Oklahoma City, joining the station in May 2025. Her weekday reporting focuses on timely, local coverage designed to give Oklahomans the essential information they need as the day begins.
Before arriving in Oklahoma, Dedmon spent four and a half years anchoring and reporting mornings at KXII in Sherman, Texas, where she covered breaking news, community stories and regional issues on tight deadlines. That experience shaped her approach to fast-paced local journalism and live reporting.
Born and raised in Arlington, Texas, she completed her journalism degree at the University of Mississippi, with a complementary focus on sports communication. While a student she gained practical experience working with national and collegiate outlets—including stints with ESPN, the SEC Network and Ole Miss Athletics—as well as hands-on work at the campus TV station.

Outside the newsroom, Dedmon is active in the community and outdoors. She shares her life with two dogs, a corgi and a blue heeler, and is an avid runner currently training for the OKC Memorial Marathon. Family time is one of her priorities when she’s off the clock.
