William Boyd Lassley
William Boyd Lassley, age 77, died in Oklahoma City on Monday, May 12, 2014 after a period of declining health.
He was born May 11, 1937 in Rogersville, Mo. to Boyd and Ruby (Ingle) Lassley and grew up in Cleveland, Okla. He moved with his family to Duncan, Okla. as a teenager. He served in the 45th Division of the Oklahoma National Guard. He lived his adult years in Oklahoma City and worked 20 years for Star Manufacturing, then Halliburton Well Services for 10 years. He retired about 10 years ago from Loomis Security.
William was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Jerry; and one sister, Glenda.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Deloris of the home in Mustang; and two sons, William and wife Lisa and Gary and wife Rhonda, all of Mustang. Also by eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 14 in the Chapel of The Good Shepherd at McNeil’s Mustang Funeral Service, with interment following in Red Hill Cemetery. Online condolences may be made at www.mcneilsmustangfs.com.
Nancy May Hess
Nancy May Hess, age 80, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, May 7, 2014.
She was born Dec. 13, 1933 in Walters, Okla. to Admiral Dewey and Icie Illa (Tucker) Davis. She grew up in Walters and was a 1952 graduate of Walters High School. She attended college at Bethany Peniel College (SNU) and left college to go to work for Southwestern Bell Telephone. She worked many years as an operator and retired from AT&T in 1986 as central office clerk. She lived many years in Arlington, Texas, and moved to Mustang in 2011 from Yukon. She was an active member of Mustang Church of The Nazarene.
The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the “Building Fund” at Mustang Church of The Nazarene.
Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, Jana, and one sister, Melba.
She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Roger of the home; one daughter, Lynn Scott of Mustang; five grandchildren, Scott, Nick, Shane, Starr and Skyler; and one great granddaughter, Kendra. Also by one brother, Tommy Davis and wife Marilyn of Belton, Texas; two sisters, Imogene Clingman and Ramona Williams and husband Robert, all of Midland, Texas.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 13 at Mustang Church of The Nazarene with interment following at 3 p.m. in Walters Cemetery, Walters, Okla., under the direction of McNeil’s Mustang Funeral Service. Online condolences may be made at www.mcneilsmustangfs.com.
Robert Teddy Grigsby
Robert Teddy Grigsby, age 82, died Monday, May 5, 2014 at the Veterans Center in Norman after a period of declining health.
He was born Oct. 29, 1931 in Oklahoma City to Fonnie L. and Effie L. (Burns) Grigsby. He grew up in Oklahoma City and was married to Franceil Sanders on March 13, 1952. Robert proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He worked for the Federal Aviation Administration, retiring in the early 1980s after 35 years of service. He was a 32nd Degree Mason and very active in Westwood Lodge No. 572. He attended Valley View Baptist Church in Oklahoma City.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Franceil; two brothers, F.L. and Tommy; and one sister, Geneva.
Survivors include two sons, Ted Grigsby and wife Mary of Mustang; Mike Grigsby and wife Debbie of San Antonio, Texas; nine grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; and one great great granddaughter.
Visitation will be on Sunday from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m., with services at 10 a.m. on Monday, May 12 in the Chapel of The Good Shepherd at McNeil’s Mustang Funeral Service, Military and Masonic rites will follow in Pleasant Valley Cemetery, Wheatland. Marguerite Luella Boyer
Marguerite Luella (Dalager) Boyer, age 94, died May 3, 2014.
She was born Sept. 14, 1919 in Austin, Minn. to Leon and Pearl (Gorsuch) Dalager. She was a high school graduate of Austin Public Schools. She married Willard (Bill) Boyer also of Austin, and they spent 53 years together. Marguerite worked at the Hormel Company before moving to Seattle during World War II and worked at the Seattle Tacoma shipyards on destroyers with her husband. After the war, she moved back to Austin to start a family. In 1963, the family moved to California and she worked as a secretary for Litton Industries. In 2011 she moved to Oklahoma to be near her family. She was a member of Chisholm Heights Baptist Church in Mustang.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill (1994); her parents; brothers, Leon and Paul; and sister, Lorraine.
She is survived by her son, Gary Boyer and wife Cathy of Steamboat Springs, Colo.; and daughter, Linda Pacconi and husband Mark of Oklahoma City. Also by grandchildren, Tammy Richey, Brent Boyer and Brooke Boyer; and great-grandchildren, Alexandra and Tyler Richey and Avery Boyer.

Alice Elizabeth Corley
Alice Elizabeth Corley, age 82, died peacefully at her home in Yukon on Thursday, May 1, 2014.
She was born Sept. 28, 1931 in Meridian, Mass. to Edward Harrilson and Amy G. (Davis) Thompson and grew up in Alexandria, La. She was a graduate of Bolton High School. She moved to Oklahoma City from Tulsa in 1971 and to Yukon in 2000. She was retired from Tinker AFB, where she had worked many years, retiring in 1995. Alice was a Methodist and was very active in Toastmasters International. She had served in many different capacities and offices, from local club level to state officer.
She was preceded in death by her parents and three husbands, Russell L. Barber, Robert M. Terry and Ansel L. Corley. Also by one grandson, Corey Barber, and two brothers, Johnny and Eddie.
Survivors include two sons, David Barber and wife Latricia of Yukon; Michael Terry and wife Dorrie of San Antonio, Texas; four grandchildren, Jennifer, Ashley, Candace and Johnny; and seven great grandchildren. Also by two sisters, Lorraine Graham and husband Charles of Sand Springs and Amy Lee Kinser and husband Roy of Claremore.

Alton Eugene ‘Buddy’ Poindexter
Buddy Poindexter was born in Grandfield, Okla. on March 26, 1947 to Robert Elsworth Poindexter and Louella (Atteberry) Poindexter.
He was raised in rural southeast Oklahoma with seven siblings. He left home at 16 to find his path starting in the oilfield. Throughout his life he held many jobs, including construction, teacher, police officer, and truck driver but always returning to the oil field.
In March of 1968, he married Barbara Justus and they had two children. In April of 1993 he remarried Linda Phillips and assumed the role of father of her two children.
While building a home in Mustang he worked all across the country as an oil field consultant. When at home, he spent his time working on his property, gardening and playing with his dogs. After a long battle with illness he passed peacefully on May 2, 2014 surrounded by family.
He was preceded in death by his father, mother, brother, sister, and one grandchild.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Poindexter of Mustang; daughter, Nancy Fields and husband Jeff of Oklahoma City; son, Roy Don “Tex” Ekstrom and wife Tami of Wichita, Kan.; step-daughter, Jennifer Phillips of Oklahoma City; and step-son, Clayton Phillips and wife Laura of Bridge Creek.
He was also survived by brothers and sisters Joy Harris of Mustang, Chester White and wife Barbara of Hot Springs AR., Goldie Powell and husband Delbert of Colgate, Okla., Karon Parker and husband Curtis of Ravia, Okla., Marlene House of Oklahoma City, Danny Ross White of Atoka, Okla. and Jerry Poindexter and wife Patricia of Lufkin, Texas.
Eight grandchildren, six great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other family also survived him.

Elmer “Jack” Cambio
Elmer “Jack” Cambio, age 82, died Tuesday, April 15, 2014 in an Oklahoma City hospital after a time of declining health.
He was born Dec. 26, 1931 in Warwick, RI to Albert and Doris S. (Henry) Cambio. Jack grew up in Rocky Point, RI and served in the U.S. Army during the Korean conflict. He worked many years in refineries and on pipelines as a pipe insulator. He retired from Aamaco Oil Co. in 1997 at which time he moved to Mustang. He was an active member of Westgate Christian Assembly in Yukon and worked with Gideons International doing prison ministry at FCI in El Reno. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved horses. He was preceded in death by his parents, three infant daughters and four brothers.
Survivors include his wife Linda of the home; two sons, Steve Cambio and wife Ann Marie of Tewksbury, Mass. and Chris Cambio and wife Chandy of Yukon; four grandchildren, Gina, Vince, Nick and Zane; and one great grandson, Jordan. Also by two brothers Albert and Ronnie, one sister Doreen, all of Rhode Island.
Memorial Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 3 at Westgate Christian Assembly in Yukon. Entombment with military honors will be at Ft. Sill National Cemetery, Elgin. Arrangements are by McNeil’s Mustang Funeral Service. Online condolences may be made at www.mcneilsmustangfs.com.
Virgil “Roy” Sharp
Virgil “Roy” Sharp, age 86, died peacefully with his family by his side on Sunday, April 20, 2014 in an Oklahoma City health facility.
He was born Feb. 21, 1928 in Moore to Virgil H. and Ina N. (Brown) Sharp. Roy grew up until his teenage years in Oklahoma City and then moved with his family to Bakersfield, Calif., where he lived until 1961 when he returned to Oklahoma. He was a truck driver by trade and lived in Pauls Valley, Moore and Mustang. While in Pauls Valley, he served as a reserve deputy for the Garvin County Sherriff’s department. He attended the Nazarene Church.
Roy was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Lorena; granddaughter, Debra, one sister, Edna and five brothers, Ramond, Lee, Harold, Mike and Randy.
He is survived by one son, Ken Sharp and wife Gaya of Rogers, Ark., two daughters, Jeannie Loyd and husband Bob, and Patty Land, both of Mustang. Also by eight grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, sister, Paula Sharp of Bakersfield, Calif. and a host of other relatives and friends, including special buddies Bob Tabor and Bob Kimble.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that contributions be made to your favorite charity or hospice. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, April 25 in the Memorial Pavilion at Mustang Cemetery. Arrangements will be under the direction of McNeil’s Mustang Funeral Service. Eddie LeeRoy Fields
Eddie LeeRoy Fields, age 84, died Monday, April 21, 2014 after a period of declining health.
He was born Oct. 31, 1929 in Gotebo, Okla. to Lloyd and Lillian (Grant) Fields. He grew up the community of Lake Valley, Okla. and was a graduate of Lake Valley High School. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict. Eddie attended Central State College, where he received his Bachelor’s Degree in Education. He taught at Capitol Hill High School for 19 years before going to work for Teacher’s Credit Union, retiring in 1991. He was a longtime member of Wheatland United Methodist Church. He loved to work in his garden and was an avid Sooner sports fan.
Eddie was preceded in death by his parents and wife Alma.
He is survived by four sons, Eddie Lloyd of Houston, Michael Wayne and wife Brenda of Loveland, Ohio, Larry Duane and wife Maggie of Mustang and Glen Ray of Oklahoma City. Also by six grandchildren, five great grandchildren, one brother, Jimmy Fields of Yukon and one sister, June Williams of Hobart, Okla.

Julila Mae Ramay
Julila Mae Ramay, age 71, died Thursday, April 17, 2014.
She was born Nov. 12, 1942 in Altus, Okla. to Julian and Anita (Jones) Cargile. She grew up in the Mangum area and attended school in Oklahoma City. She was a cafeteria cook in the Oklahoma City public school system. She loved to travel and spend time with her family. Julila was a member of the Pentecostal Church of God.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bob Ramay; son, Elvert L. Newton, II; and father, Julian Cargile.
She is survived by her mother, Anita Hill and husband Donald of Oklahoma City; daughter, Janet Hamilton and husband Jerry of Big Cabin, Okla.; sons, Randy Newton and wife Kimberley of Kingston, Okla., Thomas Newton and wife Elaine of Daulphin, Ga., David Satterlee of Oklahoma City, Shane Toon and wife Brandy of Ft. Worth, Texas and daughter, Julila Toon of Oklahoma City. Also by 23 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and her sister, Beverly Ann Thompson of Oklahoma City.
