FRANCENS MARK 55 YEARS

Donald Glenn and Willa Mae (Mengers) Francen will celebrate their 55th wedding anniversary Friday.
The couple wed on Sept. 24, 1955, at the home of the bride's parents in Mustang.
Don Francen is a bi-vocational Baptist minister who also worked as a mechanic for OG&E before retiring in 1994. He continues his ministry as chaplin for McNeil's Mustang Funeral Service.
Willa Francen retired from Seagate and is a realtor with Coldwell Banker Select of Mustang.
The Francens are members of Chisholm Heights Baptist Church.
Willa Francen is a member of the Ladies in Red Mustang Chapter of The American Red Hat Society.
Don Francen continues to use his skills as a mechanic to restore vintage cars and tractors.
The couple has two daughters, Donna Francen of Mustang and Rebecca and Matt Gober of Tuttle. A son Jim Francen died in 2002.
The couple has two grandchildren, Valerie McDaniel and her husband Clayton of Fayetteville, Ark., and Levi Gober of Tuttle.
