Robert Teddy Grigsby
Robert Teddy Grigsby, age 82, died Monday, May 5, 2014 at the Veterans Center in Norman after a period of declining health.
He was born Oct. 29, 1931 in Oklahoma City to Fonnie L. and Effie L. (Burns) Grigsby. He grew up in Oklahoma City and was married to Franceil Sanders on March 13, 1952. Robert proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He worked for the Federal Aviation Administration, retiring in the early 1980s after 35 years of service. He was a 32nd Degree Mason and very active in Westwood Lodge No. 572. He attended Valley View Baptist Church in Oklahoma City.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Franceil; two brothers, F.L. and Tommy; and one sister, Geneva.
Survivors include two sons, Ted Grigsby and wife Mary of Mustang; Mike Grigsby and wife Debbie of San Antonio, Texas; nine grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; and one great great granddaughter.
Visitation will be on Sunday from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m., with services at 10 a.m. on Monday, May 12 in the Chapel of The Good Shepherd at McNeil’s Mustang Funeral Service, Military and Masonic rites will follow in Pleasant Valley Cemetery, Wheatland.
