Marguerite Luella Boyer
Marguerite Luella (Dalager) Boyer, age 94, died May 3, 2014.
She was born Sept. 14, 1919 in Austin, Minn. to Leon and Pearl (Gorsuch) Dalager. She was a high school graduate of Austin Public Schools. She married Willard (Bill) Boyer also of Austin, and they spent 53 years together. Marguerite worked at the Hormel Company before moving to Seattle during World War II and worked at the Seattle Tacoma shipyards on destroyers with her husband. After the war, she moved back to Austin to start a family. In 1963, the family moved to California and she worked as a secretary for Litton Industries. In 2011 she moved to Oklahoma to be near her family. She was a member of Chisholm Heights Baptist Church in Mustang.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill (1994); her parents; brothers, Leon and Paul; and sister, Lorraine.
She is survived by her son, Gary Boyer and wife Cathy of Steamboat Springs, Colo.; and daughter, Linda Pacconi and husband Mark of Oklahoma City. Also by grandchildren, Tammy Richey, Brent Boyer and Brooke Boyer; and great-grandchildren, Alexandra and Tyler Richey and Avery Boyer.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Chisholm Heights Baptist Church Mission Fund, 2243 W. state Highway 152, Mustang, Okla., 73064. Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 7 at McNeil’s Mustang Funeral Service, with burial to follow at Oakwood Cemetery, Chatsworth, Calif.
