Track teams place high in Choctaw meet

Mustang track teams competed in the Choctaw track meet last Friday.

The boys squad finished in fifth place out of 13 teams, and the girls team placed in a tie for fourth out of 10 teams on the day.

On the boys side of the track, it was Edmond North taking first place overall. Booker T. Washington placed second, Deer Creek took third, Choctaw finished fourth, Mustang placed fifth, Shawnee took sixth, Noble was seventh, Capitol Hill took eighth, Del City finished ninth, Deer Creek JV took 10th, Putnam City West finished 11th, Harrah placed 12th and John Marshall took 13th place to round out the competing schools.

On the girls side, it was Edmond Memorial taking first place. Edmond North placed second, Deer Creek took third, Shawnee and Mustang tied for fourth place, Booker T. Washington finished in sixth place, Choctaw took seventh place, Putnam City West placed eighth, Del City finished in ninth and the Oklahoma City Storm took 10th place to round out the girls field.

Here are the girls individual results from Choctaw:

In the 4×100-meter relay race, Mustang took seventh overall with a time of 53.72 seconds.

In the 4×800-meter relay event, the Lady Broncos took third overall with a time of 10:32.58.

In the 3,200-meter run, Ashlee Jones took first place with a time of 12:34.78 and Lauren Mason placed fourth overall with a time of 13:21.33.

In the 4×200-meter relay race, the Bronco girls took sixth overall with a time of 1:52.92.

In the 800-meter run, Kyra Fuller took fifth place with a time of 2:34.54.

In the 100-meter dash, Stephanie Wilson took seventh place with a time of 12.92 seconds, Shelby Easton took 27th place with a time of 14.57 seconds, Melinda Beals took 29th place with a time of 14.75 and Aubrea Martinsorrels took 34th place with a time of 15.01 seconds.

In the 400-meter dash, Amirah Jones took fifth place with a time of 1:06.55, Logan Haller took seventh place with a time of 1:07.44 and Shelby Easton took 29th place with a time of 1:39.71.

In the 300-meter hurdles, Abbie Davis took 17th place with a time of 56.66 seconds.

In the 200-meter dash, Stephanie Wilson took fifth with a time of 27.19 seconds, Katelyn Wood took 20th place with a time of 30.16 seconds, Melinda Beals took 36th place with a time of 32.59 seconds and Aubrea Martinsorrels took 39th place with a time of 33.01 seconds.

In the 1,600-meter run, Kyra Fuller took third place with a time of 5:44.18, Sara Wojcak took fifth place with a time of 6:00.23 and Ashlee Jones took ninth place with a time of 6:04.52.

In the 4×400-meter relay event, the MHS girls took fourth place with a time of 4:27.65.

In the discus toss, Paige Ketch took second place with a throw of 108 feet, 7 inches.

In the 4×800-meter relay event, the Broncos took sixth place with a time of 9:07.18.

In the 3,200-meter run, Lance Frost took first place with a time of 10:22.64, Mark Drexel took third place with a time of 10:55.50 and Skylar Wade took fourth place with a time of 11:05.78.

In the 4×200-meter relay race, MHS took fifth place with a time of 1:35.05.

In the 800-meter run, Josh Griffin took eighth place with a time of 2:14.64 and Ben Brackett took 10th place with a time of 2:19.33.

In the 100-meter dash, Jordan Greenspan took 20th place overall with a time of 11.86 seconds and Kiante Miles took 28th place with a time of 12.27 seconds.

In the 400-meter dash, Ryan Delgado took 13th place with a time of 59.65 seconds.

In the 200-meter dash, Frankie Edwards took fourth place with a time of 23.17 seconds and Preston Ochoa took seventh place with a time of 23.51 seconds.

In the 1,600-meter run, Lance Frost took first place with a time of 4:44.68 and Mark Drexel took sixth place with a time of 4:57.03.

In the 4×400-meter relay race, Mustang took ninth place with a time of 3:48.03.

In the discus toss, Jayden Ray took second place with a throw of 129-feet 3-inches.

In the shot put, Tristin Hill took first place with a toss of 49 feet, 6 inches, Garrett Hudson took fifth place with a throw of 42 feet, 6 inches, and Seth Amos took seventh place with a toss of 41 feet, 6 inches.

The Bronco track teams return to action at 3:30 p.m. Friday at the Deer Creek track meet.
