Wilma L. “Neal” Smith

Wilma L. “Neal” Smith, age 83, died Thursday, March 27, 2014 at her home in Mustang, after an extended illness.

She was born July 6, 1930 at Scullin, Okla. to LeRoy and Tempie (Fussell) Neal. She grew up in the Scullin/Hickory area and was a graduate of Hickory High School. She moved to Oklahoma City after high school and moved to Mustang shortly after her marriage to Loren Ray “Pat” Smith in 1952.  She was a devoted “farmers wife” and a loving mother and grandmother. She was member of Mustang United Methodist Church.

Wilma was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Johnny and Welton, as well as one sister, Connie.

Survivors include her husband of 61 years, Loren Ray “Pat” Smith of the home, one daughter, Carolyn Hudson and husband Jim of Maud, Okla.; and two sons, Mike Smith and wife Teresa of Mustang and Randy Smith and wife Vicki of Oklahoma City. Also by six grandchildren, Ryan, Cody, William, Brent, Matt and Kristin; two great granddaughters, Madison and Sydney; and one sister, Betty Thompson.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, April 1, in the Chapel of The Good Shepherd at McNeil’s Mustang Funeral Service, with interment following in the Mustang Cemetery. Online condolences may be made at www.mcneilsmustangfs.com.
