Rose (Grove) MacWatters, age 77, passed Monday, March 31, 2014.

Rose (Grove) MacWatters

She was born June 1, 1936 in Seattle, Wash. to Roscoe and Clara (Clemo) Grove. She grew up in Seattle and later moved to Yukon in 1977. She was a past queen of Job’s Daughters International. Rose worked for Eastern Airlines in Atlanta, before joining the law firm of Crowe & Dunlevy in Oklahoma City as a legal assistant and later retiring as a program manager at Federal Aviation Administration in Oklahoma City.  She attended the Mustang Community Center on a daily basis, spending time with her friends playing dominoes and walking the trails. She was a loving mother and grandmother and a caregiver to those around her.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years Benjamin (2010); her parents; brothers, Arlyn, Les and Keith Grove; and sisters, Irene Shindelbower and Betty Hollifield.

Rose is survived by her three children, Col. Kevin MacWatters, Connie Wolfe and Ken MacWatters; four grandchildren, Alexa Prince, Scott MacWatters, Katherine and Stephen Wolfe; and two great-grandchildren, Christian and Adelyn Prince.

Viewing times for friends will be Thursday, April 3 from 1 p.m. until 8 p.m. at McNeil’s Mustang Funeral Service.  Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Friday, April 4 at the Yukon Cemetery. Online condolences may be made to www.mcneilsmustangfs.com.
