Jesse Don Gorbet
Funeral services for Jesse Don Gorbet will be held at 3 p.m. Friday, March 7 at Jenks Simmons Field House with Pastor Jason Smith of Westgate Christian Assembly in Yukon officiating. Burial will be in the El Reno Cemetery under direction of Huber-Benson Funeral Home.
Jesse died March 2, 2014, at OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City. He was born Nov. 12, 1997, in Oklahoma City. Jesse lived all of his life in El Reno and was a member of Westgate Christian Assembly in Yukon. He was a sophomore at El Reno High School where he was a member of the wrestling and football teams and participated in FFA and 4-H. He was an avid 4-wheeler, enjoyed shooting, music, going to the river, weightlifting, and was a health and fitness enthusiast. Jesse also enjoyed watching his dad race cars and was a member of his pit crew. Jesse worked at the El Reno Tribune and Cutting Edge Signs.
Jesse is survived by his parents, Travis Gorbet of El Reno and Denise Gorbet and Chris Bromlow of El Reno; brothers, Ryan Gorbet of Mustang and Austin Gorbet of El Reno; grandparents, Jim and Pam Roberts of Yukon,
Sean and Donna Dyer of El Reno and Larry and JaVonna Gorbet of Moore; great-grandparents, Ruth Reusser, Derald Miller and Pat Dyer, all of El Reno; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
