A 20-year-old Edmond man has been detained by Mustang police after an alleged stabbing at Okie Express Car Wash.

Jonathan Tran was an employee at the business, located at 1260 East state Highway 152, and got into an argument with a manager there Thursday afternoon.

“As the argument continued to escalate from verbal to a physical confrontation, the suspect pulled a knife and stabbed the manager three times,” Capt. Dennis Craig stated in a release. “The manager was transported to an Oklahoma City trauma hospital.

“The suspect drove to Edmond, where he called 9-1-1 and was subsequently located at a business in the 100 block of E 15th Street by Edmond Police,” Craig said.

The manager, who was not identified, was taken by EMSA to OU Medical Center in “non-life threatening condition,” Mustang Police Chief Chuck Foley said.

Tran was being detained at Mustang Police Department late Thursday awaiting the arrival of investigators, Craig said.
