Nola Pearl Hood
Nola Pearl Hood, age 99, died Thursday, Jan. 9, after a time of declining health.
She was born May 30, 1914 in Peanut, Ark. to Robert and Nancy (Ritchie) Morris. She grew up in that area and moved to Wheatland in 1948. She was a loving mother and grandmother and had worked many years at Wilson Grocery in Wheatland. She was a longtime member of Wheatland United Methodist Church.
Nola was preceded in death by her husband Mark; one son Leon; one brother Robert; and seven sisters, Martha, Polly, Elizabeth, Janie, Erva, Della and Bessie.
She is survived by one son Don Hood and wife Shirley of Oklahoma City; three grandchildren, Kristina, Donald and Summer; as well as six great grandchildren, Kelsey, Marcy, Kayleigh, Taylor, Corrine and Ethan.
Graveside services will be held at 2pm on Saturday, Jan. 11 at the Pleasant Valley Cemetery, Wheatland, under the direction of McNeil’s Funeral Service, Mustang.
